How to Apply

Anesthesiology Categorical and Special Tracks

Categorical: recruiting 16 for 2010-2011 academic year

  • 4-year program
  • Start as PGY-1, chosen as part of the residency program, includes 12 months of a non-anesthesia clinical base experience. Emphasis is on an Internal Medicine rotation.

Specialized (Advanced): recruiting 3 for 2010-2011 academic year

  • 3-year program
  • Start as CA-1, in which case you are allowed to select your own PGY1 program.


The Department of Anesthesiology will be accepting applications via the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS). The following documents should accompany the ERAS application:

  • Personal Statement
  • Dean's Letter
  • Transcript
  • Three additional letters of recommendation
  • USMLE Scores
  • ECFMG Certificate (if International Applicant) - You must be ECFMG certified prior to any interview.
