Research Area

The role of thrombin as a mediator of Cyr61 protein expression during corneal wound healing.

The focus of our laboratory is to study the role of proteases and protease inhibitors during normal and pathological wound healing processes in the cornea. My project is to determine the role of thrombin in corneal wound healing in the context of an extracellular matrix-associated protein Cyr61 (CCN1).
