Cell Biology

The study of molecular interactions and function in the cell as they relate to compartmental structure and cellular organelles. Specific topics include cytoskeletal dynamics and cell motility, trafficking through membrane compartments, secretion, endocytosis, macromolecular turnover, nuclear-cytoplasmic interaction.  The interactions between cells which enable the assembly of functional tissues is also an area of interest.
