Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience

The study of cells that are unique to the nervous system including neurons, glia and sensory cells. Specific topics in this research area include: acute and long term signal transduction; neurochemistry; and the response of the nervous system to toxins; injury and other forms of stress. These issues are addressed in a range of paradigms including: pain, vision, drug abuse, development and biological timing.
