Research Interests

Dr. Jesmanowicz has specialized in rigorous computer-aided design of radio frequency coils for MRI and has written special pulse programs that permit acquisition of very high resolution images with voxel dimensions as small as 40 microns. He has also developed strategies for processing fMRI of the human brain. In his recent work, Dr. Jesmanowicz is concerned with echo-planar pulse sequence development and reconstruction at 3 Tesla.

Dr. Jesmanowicz was mentor to these graduate students: Amy Herlihy, Mary Beth Meyerand, and Vinai Roopchansingh.
