Dr. Jesmanowicz has specialized in rigorous computer-aided design of radiofrequency coils for magnetic resonance imaging. He also has written special pulse programs that permit acquisition of very high resolution images with voxel dimensions as small as 40 microns. He developed strategies for processing functional magnetic resonance imaging of the human brain. In recent work, Dr. Jesmanowicz has been concerned with echo planar pulse sequence development and reconstruction at 3 tesla.
