Curriculum Vitae

Prakash Laud is a Professor in the Division of Biostatistics at MCW. He joined the Division of Biostatistics in the spring of 1994. He was previously Associate Professor of Mathematics in the Division of Statistics at Northern Illinois University. Professor Laud has several collaborative relationships with researchers at the College, particularly with those in the College's Injury Research Center and the Center for Patient Care and Outcomes Research. Current collaborative projects include those in the areas of falls injury prevention, relationship of obesity and motor vehicle crash fatalities, breast cancer screening and surveillance, osteoporosis screening and treatment, and many others. His methodological research focuses on Bayesian techniques for parametric as well as nonparametric inference for generalized linear and mixed effects models, models for time to event data and genetic association studies in the presence of population structure.

Research Experience:

  • Bayesian Statistical Methodology
