Admission requirements for PhD in Biostatistics:
Applicants are expected to have completed courses in advanced calculus, matrix/linear algebra and scientific programming with a minimum grade of B in each. Those who have not done so may be considered for admission and, if admitted, must complete these requirements during the first year of study.
While applications are received by the Graduate School throughout the year, certain time points are significant in the admission process. Typically, the Admissions Committee of the Division of Biostatistics begins review of received applications by late January for admission in the upcoming fall semester. Admission decisions are made on a rolling basis until all available admissions and fellowships are awarded to qualifying full time students. Admission offers are accompanied by fellowships, and students are admitted for the fall semester only. Part time students may be admitted in any semester. However, financial support from the College is not available for such students. They are generally supported by their employer.
Applicants can apply directly to the Graduate School online. Please make sure that your application is complete by the date you wish it to be considered. The Graduate School will not forward incomplete applications to the Admissions Committee.
