Consulting Service Information The Consulting Center in the Division of Biostatistics at the Medical College of Wisconsin provides comprehensive statistical consulting and data entry services for clients within and outside the Medical College. Services are offered for a standard fee and are provided on an appointment basis. Requests for appointments can be made by calling Kellie Bialzik at (414) 456-8280, emailing consult@mcw.edu, or by directly submitting a consulting service application. Applications are available by using the electronic FORM. The Biostatistics Consulting Center is located in room H2400 of the Health Research Center. Services: Specific services offered include assistance in grant proposal preparation, design of clinical trials, experimental design, survey design, determination of sample size requirement, randomization, data management and entry, modeling, data analysis and interpretation. Consulting is provided by Biostatistics faculty and staff. Staff consultants are supervised by a member of the faculty. A professional data entry coordinator is also available.
After the initial consultation, a time estimate is provided.
Other Information: Where meaningful intellectual contribution to the formulation of a research question or the analytic scheme for a research paper has been provided by the statistical consultant, it is hoped that Biostatistics personnel will be offered co-authorship on consequent publications and presentations (though this is not a requirement). If the investigator is a student, resident or fellow, his/her faculty advisor must be present at the initial consultation session. A completed consulting request form is required before an appointment can be scheduled. This form is used in matching the client’s needs with the proper statistical expert in order to ensure best possible services.
