Upcoming Events Supporting the MCW Cancer Center
March 2nd, Dr. Paula Traktman and Ridin' for Research Support the MCW Cancer Center
The 14th annual Ridin’ for Research indoor cycling event will take place Sunday, March 2, at the Rite Hite YMCA, 9250 N Green Bay Rd, Brown Deer. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Center. To date, this organization has raised more than $1.1 million for cancer research.
The photo to the right was taken last year, when they presented nearly $70,000 to the MCW Cancer Center. We hope you’ll consider riding in the event or supporting Dr. Paula Traktman, who will be representing MCW and riding in the first session.
The event gathers more than 100 stationary bikes, all at one location. Riders choose to participate in two or more of the six 50-minute sessions offered. Many participants ride the entire six hours! Registration is $25 per session; riders also must commit to raising at least an additional $25 in donations per session. Donations can be turned in at the event, or you can forward donations directly to the Cancer Center. Checks should be made payable to the Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Center.
To sign up to ride, go to Ridin’ for Research. If you cannot attend but would like to make a donation to support Dr. Traktman’s ride, please go to Dr. Traktman’s donation page.
