Bon Ton Stores, Inc. Bon Ton Stores, Inc., the parent company for Boston Store, Younkers and Herberger's stores, raises funds for breast cancer research at the Medical College of Wisconsin in several ways. During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, stores donate a portion of purchases made using their in-store credit card in a promotion called “Charge Against Breast Cancer.” Additionally, a portion of sales of the specially designed items found in the Pink Shops will be donated to the Medical College of Wisconsin. The Pink Shops carry over 20 items with a breast cancer awareness theme. Since 1998, Bon Ton has donated more than $600,000 to breast cancer research at the Medical College.
Shop at Boston Store to Support Breast Cancer Research The Bon-Ton Stores, Inc., parent company of Boston Store, will be holding a special promotion during Breast Cancer Awareness month to raise funds for breast cancer research. On October 7th, 2009, during their Power Wednesday Sale, 1% of all purchases made by shoppers on their Boston Store charge card will be donated to breeast cancer research.
October 7th is also the launch of the "Pink Shops" at Boston Stores. The Pink Shops carry items with a breast cancer awareness theme. It is loaded with new items for 2009 plus the lunch tote is back in new colors. They also have a reusable shopping tote created by Sheryl Crow, this item may appear on Oprah. The proceeds of these promotions are aplit evenly between the Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Center and three other cancer centers in the US. To date, the Medical College has received $610,000 for breast cancer research from Bon-Ton Stores.
