Denise Leinss Breast Cancer Research Fund Denise M. Leinss was diagnosed in 2001 with breast cancer and died of the disease only two years later, at age 42. Her parents, Jim and Colleen, established the Denise M. Leinss Breast Cancer Research Fund at the Medical College of Wisconsin initially as a vehicle for the gifts received in Denise’s memory. The Fund has continued to grow, however, with annual contributions from Casa Grande Hair Salon, the Executive Women’s Golf Association and Jim and Colleen’s own annual golf event. To date, $160,000 has been contributed to the Fund.
