The Population Sciences Program aims to improve cancer outcomes and to reduce disparities in outcomes. The Program seeks to fund seed grant projects which will advance these aims in the areas of access, quality and/or comparative effectiveness, as well as implementation science. Preference will be given to Principal Investigators who do not presently hold NIH funding.
This call for applications is aimed at building intra-programmatic collaborations that would lead to opportunities to secure extramural funding and promote T3-T4 translational research. To be eligible for this funding opportunity, the Principal Investigator must hold an MCW Faculty appointment and be a member of the Population Sciences Research Program.
A Notice of Intent outlining the proposed project should be submitted to the MCW Cancer Center Research Grants Coordinator Michael Anello (manello@mcw.edu) by March 4, 2013. Notice should include name of anticipated Principal Investigator and co-investigators, project title, and a 1-2 sentence description.
The full application deadline is April 8, 2013 (deadline to MCW Grants & Contracts is one week prior). Late proposals will not be accepted.
Funding of awards will be made with an intended June 1, 2013 start date.
