Research Area: Activation of HNF-4a during liver development
I joined the Duncan lab in 2010 after being accepted to the Interdisciplinary Program in Biomedical Sciences. I was drawn to developmental biology after being exposed to it at UW-River Falls where I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Biotechnology and Chemistry. The lab works on the molecular and genetic functions of mammalian development and disease. My project involves elucidating the molecular mechanisms involved in the activation of HNF4a during the differentiation of stem cells into hepatocytes.
