Research Interests:  Mechanisms of cellular signaling during retinal neurogenesis

I was drawn to Dr. Link's lab because of my interest in neuroscience and prior experience using zebrafish as a model organism. In the Link lab the main focus of research is on the retina. Studying the retina has many advantages because of various types of known ocular diseases as well as the eye being an easily accessible outcropping of the central nervous system. These interests and advantages have led me to investigate the role of Notch signaling in retinal neurogenesis.
