Carol Jorgensen Tolejano, MS, CCC-SLP Speech-Language Pathologist Center for Communication & Swallowing Disorders Department of Otolaryngology & Communication Sciences
Carol Jorgensen Tolejano is a certified speech-language pathologist with a focused interest in throat-based communication, swallowing, and breathing disorders. Her educational background includes vocal performance and a graduate program in speech pathology at the University of Iowa with a unique vocology emphasis. Her primary clinical emphases are working with people who have voice disorders, particularly professional voice users, singers, and children, as well as those with paradoxical vocal fold dysfunction (PVFD, also known as "vocal cord dysfunction").
Committed to community education and furthering the knowledge of voice health care, she helped form the Greater Milwaukee Chapter of the Voice Foundation, has given numerous educational presentations to the community, professional organizations, and university students, and participates in voice and PVFD-related research. Her articles have been included in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and Choral Journal.
