Graduate Students and
Postdoctoral Research Associate positions are available

Graduate Students and Postdoctoral Research Associate positions are available in induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC), protein misfolding, redox biochemistry, and stress response pathways. Candidates are being sought with experience and interest at the chemistry/biology interface. The NIH-funded research involves 1) mechanistic studies on reductive stress—as opposed to oxidative stress—by antioxidative G6PD, 2) characterization of redox stress-regulated pathways in induced pluripotent stem cells; and 3) and small molecule screening of regulatory enzymatic pathways. High level of independent experience is necessary at the projects are interrelated and multidisciplinary. Experimental approaches will involve biochemical, chemical screens, biophysical protein studies, molecular biology and extensive model systems in culture cells. Compensation will be commensurate with experience, publications and other specialized training for the position. Send curriculum vitae and 2 letters of reference to Dr. Ivor J. Benjamin, Medical College of Wisconsin, ibenjamin@mcw.edu
