The 2012 CVC Golf Challenge is set for Monday, July 23 at Chenequa Country Club and will celebrate its 14th year of the tournament to benefit cardiovascular research at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
The CVC Golf Challenge is a high profile event which has benefitted from the support of business and community. The event is truly unique and known as one of the most enjoyable charitable outings in greater Metropolitan Milwaukee area. A strong 14-year run of the tournament has raised nearly $1 million to advance break-through heart research at the Medical College.
Cardiovascular disease is a devastating and costly health problem accounting for one-third of all deaths each year, making it the leading cause of death among men and women in the nation. In Wisconsin, one out of every three deaths is from cardiovascular disease.
The Cardiovascular Center is one of the leading multidisciplinary research centers in the country with more than 170 physicians and scientists from many departments at the Medical College united in the search to prevent and treat heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, and diabetes.
