The Medical College of Wisconsin has more than 1,100 physicians on its faculty providing patient care through the College's physician group practice composed of: Medical College Physicians, which consists of physicians providing care in every specialty of medicine; and Children's Specialty Group, which is a joint venture of the Medical College of Wisconsin and Children's Hospital and Health System and consists of specialty physicians providing care to children.

Medical College physicians also teach, conduct research, and work with faculty scientists to develop new ways of preventing and treating diseases. Indeed, patients of Medical College physicians have access to some of the finest, most advanced care available.

Froedtert Hospital - www.froedtert.com

Froedtert Hospital is the primary teaching affiliate of the Medical College. Major Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin clinical programs include:

  • Clinical Cancer Center
  • Cardiovascular Center
  • Eye Institute (owned by the College and managed by Froedtert Hospital)
  • Level 1 Trauma Center
  • Neurosciences Center (Neurology, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Comprehensive Epilepsy Program, Neuropsychology, Spinal Cord Injury Center, Stroke Center)
  • Transplant Center (heart, lung, heart-lung, kidney, liver, pancreas, bone)
  • Gastroenterology
  • Women's Health Centers (Breast Care and Birth Centers)

Other specialties and areas of expertise include senior health, hand rehabilitation, limb reattachment, diabetes research and treatment, dysphagia, and urology.

Children's Hospital of Wisconsin - www.chw.org

Medical College of Wisconsin pediatric specialists are on the staff of Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. Founded in 1894, Children's Hospital serves children with all types of illnesses, injuries, birth defects and other disorders.
 
Children's Hospital is a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center verified by the American College of Surgeons. Children's Hospital has 296 beds that include a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Hematology/ Oncology/ Transplant Unit and Short Stay Unit. The hospital is known for its nationally recognized Herma Heart Center and has more than 60 specialty clinics.

Zablocki VA Medical Center - www.milwaukee.va.gov

The Zablocki VA Medical Center has been a major teaching affiliate of the Medical College since 1946. All physicians who staff the hospital are full-time faculty of the College. The VA Medical Center provides 168 acute care hospital beds. Annually, it admits 6,400 patients and records nearly 575,000 outpatient visits. It is one of the busiest and most comprehensive centers operated by the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Approximately $17.4 million in research (funded primarily by the VA and the NIH) is conducted by College faculty at the Zablocki VA Medical Center.

The Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin Primary Care Clinics offer the best in close-to-home, personal care along with the expertise and resources of a leading academic medical center. Clinics are conveniently located in Brookfield, Menomonee Falls, Waukesha, Wauwatosa, Milwaukee, Sussex and West Allis and offer a complete range of primary care services for the entire family.

Medical College of Wisconsin physicians are on the staff of Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. Children's Medical Group (CMG) has more than 50 primary care pediatricians serving children out of 17 clinic sites in metropolitan Milwaukee and southeastern Wisconsin.
