ExCEED
Excellence in Clinical Education,
Exchange, and Development
The achievements of our medical school depend upon the strength and sustained efforts of our community faculty. Because medical education rapidly changes, faculty must routinely monitor and update their skills. The ExCEED program helps Community Faculty excel in this atmosphere of rapid change.
ExCEED is a Faculty Development Program for Volunteer Community Preceptors focusing on developing and sustaining excellence in community and volunteer faculty teaching. ExCEED programs are active in Family and Community Medicine, General Internal Medicine and General Pediatrics.
The ExCEED program has three objectives:
1. Build and maintain a cadre of excellent clinical faculty
2. Foster accessible and satisfying teaching support activities for new clinical faculty
3. Link clinical faculty to high quality learning activities and opportunities.
To achieve these objecties, ExCEED staff and participants have created several ways in which community faculty are informed about ongoing educational changes. Including, access to library resources, quarterly newsletters and advisory committees, which serve as links between the community teaching sites and the medical college.
The links below offer additional information about ExCEED activities. Please feel free to contact ExCEED staff with any questions or concerns!
