Patti and Jack McKeithan
The McKeithans are outstanding community leaders and philanthropists, who have been strong and consistent supporters of the Medical College.
Mr. Daniel F. (Jack) McKeithan, Jr. serves as Chairman and CEO, and Director of Tamarack Petroleum Company, Inc., a privately held company. He joined in activating the company in 1958 with Joseph Uihlein, Jr.
Mr. McKeithan is President of Active Investor Management, Inc. and President and Chief Executive Officer of SeisTech Development Inc.
Jack was elected to the Board of Directors of the Jos. Schlitz Brewing Company in 1973 and became Chairman after the sudden death of Robert Uihlein, Jr. in 1976, serving in that position until 1982.
He is a North Carolina native. Jack attended Duke University and graduated from the University of Oklahoma, Norman, OK, with a Bachelor of Science degree.

Director of the Marcus Corporation; Southeast Wisconsin Professional Baseball Park District; the Zoological Society (past board chair); Milwaukee County Research Park Corporation; Co-chairman and Trustee of Great Circus Parade, Inc.; Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce; Columbia St. Mary's Foundation; as well as, Junior Achievement of Southeastern Wisconsin (past board chair); and Trustee of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee (past board chair). A longstanding advocate for the Medical College, Mr. McKeithan is currently a member of MCW’s Cardiovascular Center Advisory Board.
Jack formerly served on the Columbia-St. Mary’s Hospital Board (past board chair) and the Marquette University Board of Trustees (past board chair).
Mr. McKeithan retired as a Director of US Bank Corp. (formerly Firstar Corporation); Wicor Inc.; Wisconsin Gas Company and as a Trustee of Northwestern Mutual.
He is a member of the Independent Oil Producers Association; Independent Petroleum Association of America and the Texas Independent Producers and Royalty Owners Association.
He has received numerous awards, far too many to mention.
Patti Brash McKeithan is the former Vice President – Corporate Affairs for Miller Brewing Company. She retired from the company in May 2004.
Mrs. McKeithan earned a liberal arts degree from St. Norbert College and a master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
She has served on the Board of Directors of the Milwaukee Public Museum (past board chair); the United Performing Arts Fund; World Festivals Inc.(Summerfest); Wisconsin State Fair Park; The Milwaukee Repertory Theater (past board chair); the Wisconsin AIDS Fund (past board chair); and the Greater Milwaukee Foundation, to name a few.
Patti is the recipient of numerous community awards and received an Honorary Doctorate Degree from St. Norbert College in 2009. She served as a trustee for the college for 18 years.
Mrs. McKeithan was inducted into the YWCA Academy of Achievers in New York City in 1998.
A longstanding advocate for the Medical College, Patti is currently a member of MCW’s Women in Science Advisory Committee.
Together, the McKeithans have not only co-chaired many successful charitable events and campaigns, but also led by generous example, as recognized in 2009, when they were honored with the Evan P. Helfaer Donor Award by the Association of Fundraising Professionals of Southeastern Wisconsin.
Jack and Patti reside in River Hills. They have three daughters, 12 grandchildren and two great- grandchildren.
