Giving to the Kidney Disease Center

At present, the KDC is one of a few centers of its kind in the nation. It is certainly is one of the largest in terms of the number of participating faculty, space and resources available, institutional support and the breadth of the research program including the genetics of renal disease, diabetic nephropathy, polycystic kidney disease, acute renal failure, transplant outcomes and renal stone disease.

When you donate to the Kidney Disease Center you will make an investment in the advancement in the finding the cause of kidney diseases and play a vital role in the developing new treatments. Gifts to the KDC will provide essential seed funding for bright new faculty members that we recruit into the KDC.  Your gift is then leveraged many times over as these faculty obtain federal support for their work.

In August of 2005, the Kidney Disease Center held its first fund raising event,
The Jim Beaudoin Golf Tournament, for which the KDC received a donation of $75,000 for finding new treatments for kidney cancer.

With the help of your generous donations we will continue to bring ground breaking scientific discoveries in the lab into clinical studies in order to provide new therapies to improve the lives of those suffering from kidney disorders.
