www.auditory-verbal.org     (Auditory-Verbal International)

     Auditory-Verbal International is an organization that promotes the choice of listening and speaking for children who are deaf or hard-of-hearing. The organization assists with education, advocacy and family support. Membership is open to parents and professionals. This organization is also responsible for the certification process for professionals providing auditory-verbal therapy. 

www.agbell.org     (Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf)

     Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf is an organization that promotes independence through listening and talking. This organization is for parents of children with hearing loss, adults with hearing loss, and professionals working with individuals with hearing loss. The site has resources on hearing loss, advocacy, and activities of the organization. AG Bell also has numerous publications for parents, adults and professionals. 

www.hear-it.org       (Hear-It)

     Hear-It is a web site designed to increase public awareness of hearing loss. It provides facts, figures, resources, and definitions related to hearing loss. It also has links to organizations around the world.  

www.listen-up.org     (Listen-Up)

     Listen-Up is a site developed by a parent of a child with hearing loss. It provides considerable information about hearing loss, resources, organizations, technology, etc. It also has links to fun sites for children.

www.cici.org   (Cochlear Implant Association)

     Cochlear Implant Association, Inc is an organization for cochlear implant recipients, their families, professionals, and other individuals interested in cochlear implants.  

www.alda.org   (Association for Late Deafened Adults)

     Association for Late Deafened Adults. This site has information about membership, national meetings, and links of interest to deafened adults. 

     Cuedspeech.com is a site with comprehensive information about cued speech and links to other sites and cued speech organizations. Cued speech is a communication mode that can be learned in a relatively short period of time and is used not only with and by individuals who are deaf, but also by those with auditory neuropathy. 

www.oraldeafed.org     (Oral Deaf Schools)

     This site has a listing of oral deaf education programs for children. Families interested in oral education and auditory/oral communication can request a free packet of information that includes videotape. There is also a section of the site for professionals interested in higher education or who are looking for a teaching position.

www.beginningssvcs.com   (Beginnings)

Beginnings is a site for parents of children who are deaf or hard-of-hearing. It has considerable information of interest. The cochlear implant information is a bit out of date, but the site is still an excellent resource for parents and families. 

www.shhh.org     (Self Help for Hard-of-Hearing People)

     Self Help for Hard of Hearing People is an organization representing hard-of-hearing consumers. The site has information on membership, resources, the annual convention, and links to other sites.
