MCW Consortium on Public and Community Health

As directed by the Wisconsin Insurance Commissioner's Order, a nine-member oversight committee was formed at the Medical College of Wisconsin to oversee the Healthier Wisconsin Partnership Program. The committee, known as the MCW Consortium on Public and Community Health (MCW Consortium), serves as the board of directors for the Healthier Wisconsin Partnership Program. In addition to oversight responsibility for the Healthier Wisconsin Partnership Program, the Consortium board also serves in an advisory capacity for conversion funds allocated to research and education at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

The MCW Consortium is composed of four members selected from nominees by statewide and community health care advocacy organizations, four members who represent the medical school, and a final member selected by the Insurance Commissioner.

  

  Terry Brandenburg, MPA, MBA
Chairman

The Insurance Commissioner appointed Terry Brandenburg, a statewide leader in public health. For the past 13 years he has directed and managed all public health programs for theCity of West Allis and the Village of West Milwaukee
, communities with a total population of about 65,000. Prior to that, he served as Health Commissioner for the city of Appleton, where he helped guide public health programs.
 

T. Michael Bolger , JD
As President and CEO of the Medical College of Wisconsin, Michael Bolger has led the College through a period of unprecedented growth in research, patient care activity, and the expansion of the Medical College's academic programs and outreach efforts in the community.
 

 

 

Douglas R. Campbell
Douglas R. Campbell is the Senior Vice President at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Campbell has more than twenty five years experience in academic healthcare fiscal oversight and management.

 

 

 

Peggy Hintzman, MBA
Representing statewide health interests is Peggy Hintzman, past president of the Wisconsin Public Health Association
Hintzman is Associate Director of the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene. With more than 20 years experience in public health, she is a statewide advocate for Wisconsin's public health needs.

 

 

Tasha Jenkins
Tasha Jenkins is Executive Director of Fighting Back
, Inc. Jenkins has focused her career on serving as an advocate for children and children's health issues. As executive director of Fighting Back, Inc., she addresses substance abuse prevention for Milwaukee youth.

 

  Randall S. Lambrecht, PhD
Randall S. Lambrecht, PhD is Dean of the College of Health Sciences at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. Dr. Lambrecht is an advocate for Wisconsin's senior citizens. He helped launch UWM's Age and Community Initiative
, which takes a comprehensive approach with regard to the health and quality of life of seniors.
  Paula A. Lucey, RN, MSN
Paula A. Lucey is President of Lamplighter Consulting, providing strategic guidance for community development initiatives.  As
the immediate past Director of Health and Human Services for Milwaukee County and one of Wisconsin's leading advocates for urban health and special health care needs of the poor, she helped develop and continues to implement Milwaukee County's General Assistance Medical Program, a safety net of medical care to over 25,000 Milwaukee County residents.
 

Cheryl A. Maurana, PhD
Cheryl A. Maurana, PhD is the Senior Associate Dean for Public and Community Health and Professor and Interim Chair for the Department of Population Health at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Maurana has received national recognition for her work in public health research and community-academic partnership development.

 

Jonathan I. Ravdin, MD
Jonathan I. Ravdin, MD, Dean and Executive Vice President of the Medical College of Wisconsin, is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and a member of the American Society for Clinical Investigation and the Association of American Physicians, honors bestowed on researchers in academic medicine whose accomplishments are deemed of high importance and scientifically distinguished.
