    Job-Site Analysis Information

A job site analysis is a service provided by SpineCare. It consists of an on-site job analysis of an employee's job by an occupational therapist experienced in ergonomics, principles of proper body mechanics and proper lift techniques.

The goals of the analysis are to:

    1. Identify the duties and tasks of the job.
    2. Identify the physical requirements of the job.
    3. Identify the risk factors (critical job demands) of the job.
    4. Identify the mechanical work aids utilized at the job.
    5. Identify the environmental conditions of the job.

    · Noise level
    · Temperature
    · Floor integrity
    · Vibration
    · Equipment/furniture

    6. Identify the client's ability to follow through with principles learned at SpineCare:

    · Proper body mechanics
    · Cervical/lumbar stabilization
    · Lift techniques
    · Interruption of prolonged positions
    · Counteract forces to structures of the
      cervical/lumbar areas.

Recommendations are provided following the analysis in a written report.  These recommendations are reviewed with the client and copies are sent to the employer and referral source.  The focus of the analysis is to increase safety of the existing job by modifying the work area and educating the employee on proper body mechanics and lift techniques to prevent future injuries.
