Night call is shared by residents assigned to a particular service. At the Children's Hospital neurology call is taken from home and averages every third night. Coverage includes emergency consults on inpatients and in the Emergency Department, as well as emergency admissions to the neurology service. In house pediatric house staff are available to assist with routine after hours patient management. Our program is committed to following the guidelines for resident duty hours as promulgated by the ACGME.
