Interlibrary Loan provides you with photocopies and loans of materials that are not available from MCW Libraries. MCW faculty, staff, and students, Froedtert and Children's Hospital staff, MCW library card holders, and other health care professionals are entitled to this service. Generally, I.L.L. is free to the user, but there may be times when it's necessary to assess a fee. The average fee per request will range from $5 to $10. PLEASE INDICATE on your I.L.L. request form whether you are willing to pay for the item. Requests typically will arrive within 5-10 days after you submit your request. A RUSH (24-48 hours) service is available for an additional fee of $5 per article.
I.L.L. request forms are available at all MCW library branches. Due to copyright law restrictions, I.L.L. cannot accept phone requests. In urgent patient care situations, a request can be faxed to (414) 456-6532. Electronic access to I.L.L. forms is now available through the Internet. For more information, call the I.L.L.
