Interventional radiologist Dr. Parag Patel joins College faculty, Froedtert staff

Nov. 12, 2008 College News - Parag Patel, MD, has been appointed Assistant Professor of Radiology (Vascular and Interventional Radiology) at The Medical College of Wisconsin and to the medical staff of Froedtert Hospital.

Board-certified in radiology, his clinical interests include minimally invasive cancer therapies and treatment of vein and artery disease. He will see patients in the interventional radiology and comprehensive vein clinics.

Dr. Patel comes to the Medical College from Baptist Cardiac and Vascular Institute in Miami, where he recently completed a fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology. He completed a diagnostic radiology residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Ill., in 2007, and was named chief resident in 2006. He has authored or co-authored 13 journal articles, and his research interests include new minimally invasive therapies for vascular disease.

He received his medical degree and his Master of Science degree from Loyola University in 2002 and 1999, respectively. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1996.
