Three faculty, one student elected to Wisconsin Medical Society leadership positions

May 7, 2008 College News - Three Medical College faculty members and a medical student were elected to Wisconsin Medical Society (WMS) leadership positions at the society's annual meeting April 12 in Madison.

Mahendr S. Kochar, MD, MS, MBA, and Kesavan Kutty, MD, were each re-elected to the society’s Board of Directors for three-year terms. Dr. Kochar is Professor of Medicine and Pharmacology and Senior Associate Dean for Graduate Medical Education. Dr. Kutty is Professor of Medicine.
 
Also, Charles J. Rainey MD, JD, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine, was re-elected to a two-year term as Vice Speaker of the society, and Matthew W. Buelow, a third-year medical student, was re-elected to a one-year term on the society’s Board of Directors. He will serve the term during his M4 year.
