Ob/Gyn Clinical Preceptorship: 316-155

Preceptorship Goals

  • Experience the private practice of obstetrics and gynecology.
  • Private practice of the specialty may be different from the junior clerkship experience.
  • Enhance communication skills with patients.
  • Actively participate in all aspects of women's health care.

Learning Activities

  • Office practice of obstetrics and gynecology.
  • Assist with gynecological surgery.
  • Perform routine obstetric deliveries and assist with operative procedures.
  • Sites vary and have in the past included Ozaukee, Watertown, Fond du Lac, Rhinelander, and various other locations.
  • Students will participate in the clinical activities of the preceptor and his/her partners.
  • Experience is to include a spectrum of routine ob/gyn problems.
  • Best for students considering a career in ob/gyn or interested in primary care.
