The Section of Medical Physics of the Department of radiation Oncology at the Medical College of Wisconsin consists of 9 physicists, 6 dosimetrists, and other research and supporting staff. The goals of the medical physics program are:
(1) to provide the best possible technical support of radiation therapy for the patients treated in the Department of Radiation Oncology;
(2) to develop advances in the accuracy and efficiency of cancer treatment through the integration of new technical innovations in radiation therapy with clinical research;
(3) to educate future generations of physicians and physicists in the art and science of radiation oncology physics.
