J. Frank Wilson, M.D., FACR, FASTRO, Chairman and Bernard and Miriam Peck Family Professor of Radiation Oncology, Director of the Adult Cancer Clinical Service Line, and Associate Director, Clinical Affairs, MCW Cancer Center is an internationally known radiation oncologist. 

A Fellow of the American College of Radiology and of the American Society of Therapeutic Radiation Oncology, Dr. Wilson is an authority on the treatment of breast cancer. He has published over 200 papers and abstracts, 21 books or chapters and has presented many lectures, both nationally and internationally, on the role of radiation therapy in the management of cancer. He is the Group Chairman of the NCI-funded ACR Quality Research in Radiation Oncology project (Q-RRO). In addition to quality of cancer care and breast cancer, his research interests have included developmental aspects of brachytherapy, a field in which he has co-authored several seminal textbooks.

Dr. Wilson is a past president of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, the largest organization of radiation oncologists in the world. He has served the American College of Radiology as a Chancellor and as Vice President. Dr. Wilson is also a past President of the American Radium Society; the oldest interdisciplinary oncology society in the world.    He is a member of the National Council for Radiation Protection (NCRP). For his contributions, Dr. Wilson has received the Gold Medals of both the American Society of Therapeutic Radiology Oncology, the American College of Radiology and the Juan del Regato Foundation. Dr. Wilson served as Director of the MCW Cancer Center from 1994 to 2000. He received the Distinguished Service Award of the Medical College in 1997.

An expert clinician, Dr Wilson is listed in The Best Doctors in America. He has been cited by Good Housekeeping and by Redbook magazines as one of "America's Top Breast Cancer Doctors." In 2008, he received the Froedtert Hospitals highest honor, the Smallwood Award for Patient Care Excellence.
