Dr. Daley joined the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in 1992.  He completed his orthopaedic residency at Brown University and a Fellowship in Hand, Upper Extremity, and Microvascular Surgery also at Brown University. He then served as an assistant surgeon and instructor in orthopaedics at Rhode Island Hospital before coming to the Medical College of Wisconsin.  Today, Dr. Daley is Chief of Orthopaedics at Zablocki VAMC and Director, Division of Hand Surgery in the Department of Orthopaedics.

After earning his bachelor of science degree in biology at State University College in Oneonta, New York in 1975, Dr. Daley continued his academic studies. He completed a doctor of philosophy degree in anatomical sciences in 1982 and earned his doctor of medicine degree in 1985 at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo.

He completed a surgical internship in the Surgery Department at SUNY and an orthopaedic surgery residency at Brown University. Dr. Daley was the recipient of the Haffenreffer Fellowship Award from the Orthopaedics Department at Rhode Island Hospital, Brown University, in 1989.

Hospital affiliations include Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital, Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, and Veterans Administration Medical Center. Dr. Daley holds academic appointments as Associate Professor, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Department , Medical College of Wisconsin; Director, Division of Hand & Microsurgery; Co-Director, Hand & Microsurgery Fellowship Program; and Director, Orthopaedic Surgery Division, Veterans Administration Medical Center.
