Welcome to the Division of Predoctoral Education for the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Goals The goal of our faculty, community preceptors and residents is to provide in-depth educational experiences that will allow each medical student to appreciate the basic principles of Family and Community Medicine and apply them to the care of patients.
Locations Our faculty are located at MCW and at four Family Practice Residency sites in the Southeast Milwaukee region. Most student experiences are in the Milwaukee Metropolitan area; however, students can take advantage of experiences in places ranging from a rural Wisconsin to an international experience in Belize.
What We Teach Family Medicine brings a unique perspective to the educational process, nurturing student's growth in caring for patients and serving the community. Faculty are committed to medical student teaching and are actively involved with teaching through all four years of medical school. Educational activities are implemented with the principles of scholarship. For those students interested in Family Medicine, an extraordinary range aces, from patient care to research, is readily available.
