Hand and Upper Extremity Fellowship

Goals and          characteristics
 

This fellowship provides extensive experience with disorders of the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder. A wide range of pathology including congenital, developmental, traumatic and arthritic anomalies are treated.

The Fellow will rotate six months of the year at the Medical College of Wisconsin and Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, with the remaining six months at the affiliated private practices. The Fellow will participate in weekly conferences pertaining to the upper extremity. There will be a monthly journal club focusing on interesting case presentations as well as reviewing the upper extremity literature. Each Fellow will be expected to produce at least one paper of publishable quality in basic and/or clinical research. The candidate must have completed an approved residency in orthopaedic surgery and be eligible for the State of Wisconsin medical licensure.
