The Violent Injury Reporting System (VIRS) of Wisconsin has developed several manuals on firearm and violence-related data collection and linkage. VIRS and the Firearm Injury Center continue to serve as a consultant to other agencies on violent injury reporting.
The most recent manual was a collaboration with Harvard and the National Violent Injury Statistics System.
