The MSMS Facility has various mass spectrometers with different configurations available for researchers' needs in analysis of their samples.

  • 7.0 Tesla Fourier Transform Ion Cyclotron Resonance (FTICR) Mass Spectrometer. This IonSpec Corporation electrospray ionization (ESI) and atmospheric pressure matrix-assisted laser disorption ionization (AP-MALDI) - FTICR based on a 7 Tesla actively shielded superconducting magnet is interfaced with an Agilent 1100 Series capillary high performance liquid chromatograph.  See picture and description.
  • Triple Quadrupole Mass Spectrometer  This Waters electrospray ionization (ESI) and atmospheric pressure chemical ionization (APCI) - MS/MS is interfaced with a Waters 2695 Separations Module.  See picture and description.
  • Single Quadrupole Mass Spectrometer This Agilent electrospray ionization (ESI) and atmospheric pressure chemical ionization (APCI) - MSD SL model is interfaced with an Agilent 1100 Series high performance liquid chromatograph. See picture and description.
  • Single Quadrupole Mass Spectrometer This Agilent 5989A MS Engine is interfaced with a 5890 Series II gas chromatograph. See picture and description.
