  • Preferred process:  3/17/08

You must have taken the on-line CD course before you attend any of the classes offered.
After ordering your CD, call Maureen Wachniakat 414-805-5391 to sign up for one of the classes.  BLS/ACLS certification will be combined in the class.

  • Certification or Re-Certification (in hospital version) is done on-line in the computer lab or your home computer and takes very little time to complete.  Follow the instructions below.

In today's fast-paced environment, it is not always easy for healthcare providers to keep their certifications current. No matter where you are, no matter when, if you have a PC and the new Heart code CD, plus a simple skill check, you can get certified on the spot. Heart code(tm) ACLS Anywhere the official AHA self-directed ACLS learning program.  To order go to:
    http://www.laerdal.com/document.asp?subnodeid=26275281

This can be ordered and will be reimbursed by the department upon completion with proper paperwork. You will have 32 hours to complete this online after you receive the CD and password/pin. This will eliminate your tedious classroom time and will have no excuse that you can not get this done. If you do not have a home computer you can contact Maureen Wachniak (805-5391) or email mwachnia@fmlh.edu  to make arrangements to use a Froedtert computer for the re-cert.

  • At the VA_ To register, send an e-mail to cathi.lanter@va.gov   A $25 refundable deposit is required and refunded after completion of the class.  (to cut down on the no shows).
