Keeping Current with RSS

 Medical RSS Feeds
PubMed
Customized search results are pushed to users as a RSS feed as articles are added to PuMed. Instructions on how to set-up a PubMed feed are available.  
Medical Journals
Three major medical journals have feeds to alert users to upcoming articles and research. Lancet does not currently have a RSS feed.

A listing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison Ebling Library of journals that have feeds available.

DailyMed Drug Label Updates
High quality information about marketed drugs from the NIH.
Nature Publishing 
Nature Publishing has numerous feeds available on its various publications. 
Science Magazine 
Science offers various feeds to keep current on research articles.  
RSS4Medics
Created by a surgeon in the UK, this directory contains links to medical RSS feeds. The site is organized by speciality. 
MedWorm
Medical RSS filter search engine. Searchable by keyword or by category. 
National Library of Medicine RSS Feeds & Podcasts
A list of NIH and NLM feeds including PubMed Central, Library LinkOut and NIH Clinical Alerts. 
National Institutes of Health (NIH) 
Numerous NIH institutes and departments offer RSS feeds including the Office of Extramural Research.  
Centers for Disease Control (CDC) 
The CDC has three feeds available: Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, CDC News, and Preventing Chronic Disease Journal.
World Health Organization (WHO) 
WHO has feeds available on disease outbreaks including avian flu. 
CiteULike
A web site where academics can share papers and books they are reading. Feeds for new items added by groups, individuals or by topic are available. 
DynaMed Podcasts 
These short recordings are an alternative for keeping up with the DynaMed Weekly Update's articles of clinical interest.
