Welcome

The Department of Neurosurgery provides a full range of neurosurgical services for children and adults at Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin.  These services include both surgical and non-surgical methods involving disorders in the skull, brain, spine, spinal cord, spinal nerves and peripheral nerves.

Our well-renowned surgical team treats traumatic injuries to the brain and spinal cord, removes tumors of the brain and spinal cord, repairs blood vessel abnormalities, manages injuries to the bone structure of the skull and spine, and repairs herniated spinal column discs.

The Medical College of Wisconsin is located on the western edge of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Care for neurosurgery patients is provided at Froedtert Hospital, Children's Hospital of Wisconsin and the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center.

What's New

The Department of Neurosurgery now offers a 2nd Opinion Program for patients seeking advice for their back and neck pain. Our program gives patients the opportunity to meet with a rehabilitation physician, and, if necessary, a surgeon, to discuss a course of treatment for their medical care.

If you would like to learn more about our 2nd opinion program, please contact the SpineCare Clinic at 414-955-7199 (non-surgical) or 414-955-7188 (surgical).
