The Healthier Wisconsin Partnership Program (HWPP) aims to fund innovative projects that can have measurable impact and can create meaningful, transformative change that will ultimately improve public health in Wisconsin.

The next Request for Proposals will be issued in 2010.

  The Healthier Wisconsin Partnership Program funds projects in two categories:

 1.  Development Awards (maximum award of $50,000) 

  • Planning activities related to the formation or development of a partnership;
  • Planning activities related to the development of a project or program;
  • Evaluation activities related to the assessment of a project or program;
  • Evaluation or implementation of capacity building strategies aimed at strengthening organizations, sectors or systems;
  • Pilot projects aimed at testing or demonstrating the feasibility of an idea; or, implementation of a project requiring $50,000 or less to be successful;
  • Typically awarded for a 12-month period.

2.  Impact Awards (maximum award of $450,000)

  • Implementation of a health promotion or health-related prevention project, program and/or partnership with significant impact; or,
  • Implementation of capacity building strategies that will have significant impact on a health-related organization, sector or system;
  • Typically awarded for a 36-month period.
