eBridge Funding Proposal Enhancements
In the November 3, 2012 eBridge production patch, several enhancements will be added to eBridge. One of the changes was initiated from a suggestion by our eBridge User Group. The detailed information on the enhancements is explained below:
Added Approver Names of the PDA and CA Roles to the Project Information Links
Effective November 3, 2012, Principal Investigators and their research team will be able to view the approver names of the PDA and CA roles in the “Project Information Links” section. The addition of the approver names will provide users with the names of those with the appropriate role to take the PDA approval action and/or the CA approval action. The eBridge User Group had recommended this enhancement so they have the name(s) of who to contact for approvals.

Added "Edit Proposal Team" Activity to the State of Pending Sponsor Decision
Effective November 3, 2012, the “Edit Proposal Team” activity will be added to the State of “Pending Sponsor Decision.” This activity will allow the PI, PT, BS, or the PDA of the PI to add, update and/or delete Proposal Team members in the State of “Pending Sponsor Decision.”

PDA Has New Activity to Change the Budget Specialist
Effective November 3, 2012, the Primary Department Administrator (PDA) will have a new activity to change the Budget Specialist name on “new” or “resubmitted” Funding Proposals (FP) that are in the States of “Pending Sponsor Decision” and “Active”. This new activity will allow PDAs to make changes to the Funding Proposal when the Budget Specialist has changed departments or has left the Medical College of Wisconsin.
"Change in Budget Specialist" activity is available to PDAs for New Proposals in the "Active" State:

Added PDA Role to Post Award Actions
Effective November 3, 2012, the Primary Department Administrator (PDA) role will be added to the Post Award Actions, “Change in PI” and “Submit Change in PI Update to GCO” activities. Adding the PDA role to these two activities will allow not only the PI and the Grants & Contracts office to change the PI and submit the change of the PI, but will allow the PDA to do so as well.
