Resources for eBridge IBC Applications
The eBridge IBC SmartForm and workflow is on schedule to “Go Live” on December 21, 2013. Just like the eBridge IACUC process, the IBC application/amendment preparation and submission, and IBC review processes will reside in eBridge. The investigator will receive email notifications throughout the application workflow and all activities will be tracked in the history log.
The Office of Research, Research Systems Training, will offer training in 2014. For more information, please contact email@example.com. Please review this Workflow (PDF) for an overview of the IBC process.
The eBridge IT Team will convert basic information from currently Approved paper applications, such as IBC Application ID, title, PI name, approval date, etc. into eBridge. The PI and Study Team will monitor their Approved application from this basic “shell” in eBridge. At the time of the first Amendment or 3 Yr. Renewal, whichever comes first, the PI and Study Team will use the eBridge Application “shell” to input the remaining data from the paper Application. The completed eBridge Amendment or 3 Yr. Renewal is submitted to the IBC for review.
Below is a chart with the plan for converting existing IBC Applications/Amendments to eBridge, as well as the timing for creating new IBC Applications during the conversion. We suggest Principal Investigators and their study team review this chart in preparation for the conversion.
