eBridge Researcher Profile for Safety Training

On March 30, 2013, the eBridge Researcher Profile module began tracking and monitoring Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) and Hazardous Chemical (HazChem) safety training for the MCW research community. Development of this addition to Researcher Profile began in the spring of 2012, with the focus of helping researchers and their staff monitor their training in order to stay compliant with governmental and institutional requirements.

Researcher Profile is currently the repository for training records related to animal research and to financial conflict of interest in research activities. Researcher Profile stores a user's training history, generating automatic emails to that user when his/her training is due to expire. It is connected to a user's eBridge account, so there isn't a need to re-register.

There are two ways to access your Researcher Profile. (view image below)

  1. Log in to your eBridge account, look in the Left area of your "My Home" under the new heading "My Training".  Select the link to go directly to your Researcher Profile Workspace.
  2. Log in to your eBridge account, and look in the upper, green navigation area. Select the Researcher Profile link to go to a list of those Profiles to which you have view access. You own Profile will also be listed. Select the one you want and it will take you to its Workspace.

If you are involved in animal research, you may already be familiar with Researcher Profile. The addition of safety training to Researcher Profile will help MCW manage its risk as an institution when endorsing research and funding projects, as well as help the research community monitor their own training records.
