Summary: The SHPPS is a national survey designed to collect information on school health policies and programs at the state, district, school, and classroom levels for elementary, middle/junior high, and senior high schools. The SHPPS contains data describing eight school health program components: health education, physical education and activity, health services, mental health and social services, food service, school policy and environment, faculty and staff health promotion, and family and community involvement.
