Research Interests

My research investigates the role of NADPH oxidase 5 (NOX-5) in diseases. NOX5 is a heme-containing enzyme activated by calcium that plays a crucial role in numerous physiological functions. NOX-5 is associated with various diseases, such as cancer and cardiovascular disorders. In the lab, we focus on NOX-5's interactions with mitochondrial and cytoskeletal proteins, which are crucial for understanding its role in health and pathology. The goal is to uncover new therapeutic targets and biomarkers for NOX-5 induced diseases.
