Froedtert Hospital and Community Memorial Hospital of Menomonee Falls came together in 2001 to form Froedtert Health, a regional integrated hospital organization with two locations and multiple program sites. In July of 2008, Froedtert Health added the former Synergy Health organizations of St. Joseph's Hospital, the West Bend Clinic and the St. Joseph's Community Foundation. Froedtert Health is also affiliated with United Hospital System (St. Catherine and Kenosha Hospital Medical Center) in Kenosha. Medical College of Wisconsin physicians currently provide radiation oncology, cardiology, perinatology, and pathology services for Community Memorial Hospital.
Children's Hospital of Wisconsin is one of the nation's top pediatric facilities. It also is a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center verified by the American College of Surgeons. Founded in 1894, Children's Hospital serves children with all types of illnesses, injuries, birth defects and other disorders. Care is provided to children from Wisconsin, Michigan, northern Illinois and beyond.
Children's Hospital is a private, independent, not-for-profit hospital. It is a major teaching affiliate of The Medical College of Wisconsin and is affiliated with more than a dozen schools of nursing. A number of other pediatric education programs also are associated with the hospital.
