Advising

The Emergency Medicine faculty at the Medical College of Wisconsin are dedicated to supporting students interested in the specialty throughout their medical education.

Faculty serve as preclinical advisors and provide formal and informal advising to students of all levels.  Students can set up meetings by contacting any faculty member directly, or arrange a more formal advising relationship by contacting our Department Medical Student Assistant, Jennifer Myszkowski

Those students rotating with us can also take advantage of a voluntary mid-clerkship advising session with a faculty member where we will go over your experience thus far, review your evaluations, and give you early feedback on your performance in a friendly, nonjudgmental atmosphere.  Additionally, faculty and residents from the Department of Emergency Medicine in conjunction with Student Emergency Medicine Association (SEMA), run career counseling and "Navigating the Match" seminars throughout the year.
