Dr. Layde has been an epidemiologist for over 30 years and an active injury control researcher for over 15 years. He has published extensively in the field of public health epidemiology. Dr. Layde is also the Co-Director of the Healthy Wisconsin Leadership Institute funded by the Healthy Wisconsin Partnership Program. The Healthy Wisconsin Leadership Institute is a joint project between the Medical College of Wisconsin and the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Public Health which provides training in collaborative leadership for community coalitions working to improve health. Dr. Layde’s current research uses a randomized community trial model to study how best to improve injury prevention programs in Wisconsin counties.
