Dr. Hagen is a Professor of in the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Clinical Nutrition at the Medical College of Wisconsin/Froedtert Hospital. Dr. Hagen is also currently a staff physician at Kenosha Hospital and Medical Center for the past 12 years. Dr. Hagen specializes in the treatment of pituitary, thyroid disease, and general endocrinology.
Dr. Hagen completed his residency at Northwestern Medical Center in IL. He completed his Fellowship at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. Dr. Hagen became Professor of Medicine and Professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology in 1980 and was the Associate Dean at the Medical College of Wisconsin for 7 years. He was also the Senior Vice President of Academic and Professional affairs for 7 years at Froedtert Hospital. Dr. Hagen served as the Chief of Medical Service, Co-Chairman of the Department of Medicine for 12 years from 1977-1989 and Chief of the Endocrinology Division from 1988-1989.
Dr. Hagen is a member of over 20 societies and associations. He has been awarded numerous grants to study pituitary hormones. He has been invited to present at several lectures and has reviewed several manuscripts for publication in medical journals. Dr. Hagen has authored over 125 publications and abstracts.
