"State of Gut" - An Update on Gastrointestinal Disorders

The Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology will be hosting an update conference on the state of the gut on Friday, September 19, 2014. The purpose of this update is to share the most recent developments in the diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal and liver diseases.
The event is intended for gastroenterologists, primary care physicians, internists and family physicians, as well as physician assistants and nurses. Upon completion of the course participants should:
Effectively evalute patients with iron defiency anemia
Evaluation and manage patients with hepatic encephalopathy due to cirrhosis
Effectively manage the patient with peptic ulcer disease
Registration and a continental breakfast will begin at 7:00am, welcoming remarks are at 8:00am and the course will end around 4:00pm. Participants will received breakfast, lunch, course materials and CME credits.
Jose Franco, MD, Professor of Medicine and the Director of Hepatology in the Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology is the course director.
The cost is $50 for physicians and $25 for residents, fellows, physician assistants and nurses.
